Jianqing Fan
Jianqing Fan (; born 1962), is a statistician and financial econometrician. He is the current Frederick L. Moore '18 Professor of Finance, Professor of Statistics and Chairman of Department of Operations Research and Financial Engineering〔()〕 (since 2012) at Princeton University.〔()〕 In 2000, he received the COPSS Presidents' Award.〔(COPSS Awards Recipients )〕 He is also a recipient of the Morningside Gold Medal of Applied Mathematics (2007) 〔(Prof. Fan receives Morningside Gold Medal of Applied Mathematics )〕 (2007), Guggenheim Fellow 〔(Prof. Jianqing Fan receives Guggenheim Fellowship Award )〕 (2009), Pao-Lu Hsu Prize (2013) and Guy Medal in Silver (2014). ==Research==
Fan is interested in statistical theory and methods in data science, finance, economics, risk management, machine learning, computational biology, biostatistics, with particular skills on High-dimensional statistics, nonparametric modeling, longitudinal and functional data analysis, nonlinear time series, wavelets, among others.
